  • III. Kingdom Curia
    • A. Meeting and Makeup of Kingdom Curia
      • 2. Curia will be called at least once per Reign.
        • a. The date, time, and format of Curia will be set by the Kingdom Seneschal.
          b. It may be split into several meetings, including but not limited to: (1) Officer Reports and (2) East Kingdom Law changes, but these meetings combined will be considered a single full Curia.
    • C. The Agenda for Kingdom Curia
      • 1. The Agenda for Curia will be prepared by the Kingdom Seneschal and the Clerk of Laws. This includes all drafts, final versions and any changes requested.
    • B. Announcing Kingdom Curia
      • 2. The announcement will be disseminated by:
        • c. A notice in Pikestaff appearing no later than the issue dated the same month as the date of Curia. The announcement may also be provided by a notice in Pikestaff appearing no later than the issue dated the same month as the date of Curia.

  • V. Court Appointments and Champions
    • I. Champions Specific to Royal Lists / Crown Tournament
      • 2. Admiral of the Armies
        • a. Awarded to the combatant who places second in a Royal List / Crown Tournament and their consort.
        • b. The regalia for this Award is an Admiral’s Hat and bosun’s whistle, passed from
          Admiral to Admiral; and a pendant, passed from consort to consort.
        • c. Prior to Court at Crown Tournament, the Combatant and consort must give consent for this award to be given to them in Court.
        • d. This award is retroactive to include all combatants who placed second in a Royal List / Crown Tournament, and their consorts, even if the award was not presented at that time. The recipients have has the right to refuse this retroactive award.
      • 3. Admiral Consort
        • a. Awarded to the consort of the combatant who places second in a Royal List / Crown Tournament.
        • b. The regalia for this Award is a pendant passed from Admiral Consort to Admiral Consort.
        • c. Prior to Court at Crown Tournament, the Combatant must give consent for this award to be given to them in Court.
        • d. This award is retroactive to include all consorts of the combatants who placed second in a Royal List / Crown Tournament, even if the award was not presented at that time. The recipient has the right to refuse this retroactive award.

  • IX. Awards
    • F. Orders of Honor
      • II. Byakko (Celestial Tyger
        • a. May be awarded by the Crown to the companion of each peerage order who most
        • embodies and personifies the ideals of that peerage.
        • b. During any one reign, no more than one companion of each peerage order will be recognized with the Byakko.
        • c. An individual may be recognized in this way more than once, if by a different reign and for a different peerage.
        • d. This recognition is accompanied by an Augmentation of Arms, if the recipient does not already have one for a previous Byakko award, within the guidelines and requirements of Section IX.G.10.
    • G. Other East Kingdom Awards
      • 1. These awards are not armigerous, and the recipients are not Companions of any Order. Scrolls are optional for these awards, except as otherwise expressly stated.
        • a. Recipients of these awards are recognized by receiving a token, unless a scroll is explicitly stated for the award.
        • b. Recipients of these awards may be recognized by the Crown or the Heirs if so indicated; otherwise, the award is reserved to the Crown.
      • 2. The Award of the Burdened Tyger
        • a. May be awarded by the Crown to those gentles associated with running a Royal Progress an event or an aspect of a Royal Progress an event which the Crown feels was well above the normal standard of excellence in the East Kingdom.
      • 9. The Award of the Golden Lyre
        • a. May be awarded to acknowledge any individual or group whose single work orperformance, either publicly displayed or exhibited in an Arts & Sciences display at a Royal Progress an event attended by the Crown or the Heirs, in the Crown’s or Heirs’ sole opinion and discretion, manifests and represents the fire and passion of the East Kingdom arts.
        • d. May be awarded by the Sovereign, or Consort, Sovereign’s Heir, or Consort’s Heir individually, or by the Crown or Heirs acting together.
      • 13. The Company of Morpheus
        • b. May be awarded by the Sovereign, or Consort, Sovereign’s Heir, or Consort’s Heir individually, or by the Crown or Heirs acting together.
      • 14. The Award of Durga
        • b. May be awarded by the Sovereign, or Consort, Sovereign’s Heir, or Consort’s Heir individually, or by the Crown or Heirs acting together.
      • 15. The Award of Rabbit in the Moon
        • b. May be awarded by the Sovereign, or Consort, Sovereign’s Heir, or Consort’s Heir individually, or by the Crown or Heirs acting together.
      • 16. The Award of Benzaiten
        • c. May be awarded by the Sovereign, or Consort, Sovereign’s Heir, or Consort’s Heir individually, or by the Crown or Heirs acting together.
      • 17. The Company of Sabers Tooth
        • a. Comprises those gentles who have served the East Kingdom as Kingdom Warlord, Pennsic Warlord, or a Pennsic General appointed by the Crown.
        • b. A gentle becomes a member of the Company at the end of the Pennsic War for which they have served the East Kingdom.
        • c. The Company of Sabers Tooth includes all gentles who have previously served the East Kingdom in any of these capacities for a Pennsic War.

    Laws may be enacted, amended, or repealed only by the Crown, after discussion at Their Kingdom Curia.

    The purpose of Kingdom Curia is:
    a. To hear reports from the Greater Kingdom Officers.
    b. To put forth for discussion any proposed changes to East Kingdom Law and listen to the opinions of those with seats on Curia and those in attendance.

    The following have seats on Kingdom Curia and have the right to be heard:
    – The Crown and Heirs
    – The Coronet and Heirs of Principalities
    – Greater and Lesser Kingdom Officers
    – Local Branch Seneschals

    The following are invited to Curia and have the right to be heard:
    – Royal Peers from any Kingdom who currently reside in the East Kingdom
    – East Kingdom Territorial Baron/esses

    Other gentles who wish to attend are welcome, but may speak only by permission of the Curia Facilitator.
