A few items of note!

Hello East Kingdom!

As we are entering the summer event season and the start of a new reign – I want to use this as an opportunity to remind our community of some things that have become noticeable trends that we need to work on correcting!

First up events that will have any champions or court activities regardless of baronial, or kingdom level, need to be published in the pikestaff! The deadline for this is the 1st of the month, prior to the month the event will be held in. So events in June’s Pikestaff need to be submitted to Lord Anthony, the Kingdom Chronicler before May 1st.

Next up, Curia & etiquette – I wish to clarify that members with a seat on Curia are absolutely allowed to ask questions of items being proposed, and officers’ reports. Keep in mind that all us in Curia as officers, and participants are unpaid volunteers and should have our time and dignity respected. Think along the lines of “Does this need to be said. Does this need to be said by me? Does this need to be said by me, right now?” as no one likes a meeting discussion that could have been an email.

In other news I have taken on a few new deputies:

Her Excellency Chatricam Meghanta has joined my staff as the Warrants Deputy!

Kurfurst Matthias Grunewald has joined the staff as the new Special Deputy for Alternative Crown Tournaments/Experiments to help continue adding success to the experiment being implemented by their Majesties and document the process throughout for us to report to the Board!

Sir Estgar æt Hrofecaestre has joined the staff as my right hand and Emergency Deputy!

Rådgiver Aneleda Falconbridge has taken on the additional duties of being my left hand and Continuity Deputy as well as continuing to serve as Media Liaison!

Meaning Magistra Audrye can finally be off the hook in case something happens to me!

I am putting out a call for interested parties to become the next Northern Region Deputy as Lord Julien MacBain has admirably served the two year term. Applications/SCA resume should be sent to Seneschal@eastkingdom.org for consideration!

Sometime soon, the list of combatants and consorts will get released for the upcoming Crown Tournament. Please be on the lookout, but also have patience as there is still a lot happening behind the scenes to prepare!

2025 Crown Tournament – Letters of Intent

Greetings unto the Tyger Populace of the East Kingdom.

The time is upon us to decide who will throw themselves into the crucible of the East Kingdom’s Crown Tournament of Ryouko’jin and Indrakshi. Should you desire to one day rule the East Kingdom, you will need to first submit your letter of intent to compete. Fill out the form here for the combatants and consorts to be in consideration for admission to this historic crown tournament. We look forward to seeing messages from all of you who are willing to serve the kingdom should you prove victorious in combat that day.

Letters of Intent must be received no later than 11:59pm Eastern, April 2nd, 2025.

Spring Crown Tournament: New deputy and the list of combatants and consorts!

Hello East Kingdom!

This is my first official announcement as your Kingdom Seneschal. Thankfully it is a happy announcement to make. I will be taking on Countess Aesa Feilinn Jossursdottir as my deputy for following up with the BoD on Alternative Crown Tournament Variances and/or Experiments.
They can be reached at AltCrownDeputy@eastkingdom.org for these efforts. I greatly appreciate the work they have done, and plan to do in pursuit of this effort.
